Sandy was born November 26, 1941, to Bert and Florence Hicks in Providence, Rhode Island.
Sandy fell in love with the beach when her father Bert was transferred to California for 4 years while serving in the Navy. Sandy's wish is for the family to take a trip to spread her ashes on the beach. After WWII her family moved to Lawrence, KS, where she graduated high school. Sandy enjoyed 4H activities while in school …
