Sandra's obituary
Sandra Sue Alexander Laton, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at her residence in Columbia, Ms.
She was a native of Sulphur, Louisiana and had been a resident of many places before landing in Columbia, Mississippi. Sandra graduated from Sulphur High School in 1959 and from Durham Business College in 1961. She loved to go fishing and usually out fished anyone with her. She also enjoyed going to the zoo, the casino, and riding her scooter to the ball field to find baseballs to give away. She never met a stranger and made many friends over the years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her companion, Billy Rawls of Columbia, MS; her children, Donald Vance Madden of Sulphur, LA, Marla Madden Evans and wife Sherry of Sulphur, LA, and Bill Rawls (Susan) of Daleville, MS; her sister, Karen Barousse and companion Mike Dressel of Lake Charles, LA; her grandsons, Sean Evans (Rechelle), and Johnathan Evans, both of Sulphur, LA; her great-grandchildren, Danton Evans (Gracie), Daisia Evans, and Destri Evans, all of Sulphur, LA; her niece, Monica Little (Raymond); her nephew, Mark Grantham (Lisa) all of Lake Charles, LA; and her Buddies, Lou Rawls and James Rawls.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lorraine Alexander; and her grandson, Cody J. Evans.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
