Samuel's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Samuel Thinnes, a cherished son and brother, who was born on October 13, 2025, and sadly left us on November 2 , 2025. Samuel, even in his limited time with us, was a beacon of hope and a testament to the enduring spirit of faith.
Samuel is lovingly remembered by his mother, Courtney Thinnes, his father, Kyle Thinnes, his brother, Wyatt Thinnes, his grandparents Cindy Mailloux, Cindy & Larry Thinnes, Jane & Wayne Hougland, Dennis Jahn, his great grandparents Larry Quigley and Irene Quigley, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
They mourn his loss but celebrate his brief, yet powerful life. Unfortunately, he was predeceased by his sister, Violet Marie, his grandfather, Jerry Mailloux, and his great-grandmother, Rita Quigley, who we believe now welcome him with open arms in heaven.
In Samuel's short journey, he achieved so much—his greatest accomplishment being his ability to teach others the significant role of prayer and community in life. His most profound lesson was a simple yet powerful one: "God is a mighty God and a performer of miracles." Even in his short time with us, Samuel's gentle soul managed to touch many lives with that inspiring message.
A memorial service to honor Samuel will be held on November 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Lord of Hosts Church. Samuel's life was brief, yet his spirit was vibrant. He was loved by all who knew him, and his legacy of faith will forever live in our hearts.
The Thinnes family encourages individuals to live by Samuel's lessons of faith, prayer, and community. Those are the gifts that Samuel left behind, and they are what he would have wished for us all. He may not be with us in person, but his influence will continue to guide us.
Rest in peace, dear Samuel. You were truly a light in our lives, and we will carry your memory in our hearts always.
