Think of Bruce, Cary and Ben often and the loss they have suffered, words are inadequate today especially....with Love the Walsh Family

Thinking of your family and remembering Sam today.  I remember his kind smile and infectious laugh. I remember his fierceness on the mats. He was great to his friends. His memory is a blessing. 

We only knew Sam through the people who loved him so much. Because of them, we know what a spectacular, loving and loved young man he was. We are so sad for the loss and hopeful that it gets a tiny bit easier to remember the gift that Sam was, in place of the sadness of the loss.

I recently learned about Sam’s passing and was deeply saddened by this news. I met Sam through a mutual friend when living in Boston and he was by far one of the most kind people I’ve ever met, and was a beautiful person inside and out. My condolences to Sam’s family, I’m so sorry for your loss and Sam will be greatly missed.

I just learned of the tragic loss of Sam today. I cannot imagine the depth of your grief at this time, and my sorrow is with you all.  It was a great joy and privilege to be Sam’s pediatrician for 22 years of his life. I will forever hold those memories close to my heart.

Bruce, Cary, Ben - While I never had the honor of meeting Sam, after being at the services yesterday, I feel like I did. The words you all spoke were powerful and uplifting - the perfect tribute to him. I have no idea how you had the strength to do that...he was clearly there with you. So much of my friendship with Bruce has been spent talking about our boys. Bruce - I cherish all the advice you give me about being a great father, and I hope I can live up to the incredible example of a father that you are.

Though I only saw Sam and the Forman family maybe once or twice a year, he and his brother and parents always meant a lot to me. You guys are a staple in Newton, in the ‘ole neighborhood. Bruce and Rich’s friendship is something I always was very fascinated with, and the Forman kids were always just so impressive when we’d get together on the rare occasion. Only positives memories with you guys, such warm people. Sam was a bright beacon of joy and he was mature beyond his time. I always remember him keeping up with us older boys, despite the age gap, even leading us into the night’s adventures and always with a good and creative attitude. I didn’t know Sam for his music love that I’ve been hearing about, but I will always cherish him, his memory, his impact, and music is something that I so wish I could have shared with him. I really feel like we would have had an amazing time getting to know eachother at an older age. Sam wants us to be happy and be proud and be strong, and we are all here to support you guys in this tragically difficult time, because you guys are the type of family that deserves this outpouring of love and support. Nobody should have to know the horror of what you’re experiencing but I’m confident that Sam’s memory will always live through us and everyone he touched in his time on earth. We will always know his guidance is with us and we will always importantly represent him, his memory, his love of music and sports in all that we do. Love you guys. Sending my hugs and best wishes.
