Samuel Ellis DiPiazza, 81, of Madison, AL, passed away on December 1, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital.

Born March 10, 1944, in Birmingham, AL, he was a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and Cumberland School of Law. He dedicated his career to Jefferson County Family Court, serving 31 years as a probation officer and retiring as assistant director, occasionally acting as a special judge.

A lifelong Maronite Catholic, he was baptized and raised at St. Elias Maronite Church in Birmingham and continued to worship there through his young adult years. 

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons Mark (Megan) and Samuel (Janice); five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Elias Maronite Church, Birmingham, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by interment at the church columbarium and a mercy meal in the parish hall.
