Samuel D. Allen III, 75, of Lincoln City Oregon, died September 13, 2022, at Salem Health Hospital in Salem, Oregon.

Mr. Allen was born January 15, 1947, in Los Angeles, California to Samuel D. Allen II and Esterlina (Moore) McCoy.

He graduated from Tustin High School in 1965 and went on to enlist in the United States Air Force.

Samuel was a hard-working husband and father who loved his family and would sacrifice all he had for them. He worked as a U.S. Postal worker for almost 20 years, and it was at the post office that he met his wife of 50 years, Linda K. (Scott) Allen and they went on to have 3 children: Juan Allen, Brandy (Allen) Good, and Ryan Allen in addition to his daughter, Veronica Allen, and son Samuel D. Allen IV, from a previous marriage.

Samuel loved reading, watching football, barbequing, going fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; brothers and sisters and their spouses; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel II; his mother Esterlina; and stepfather David McCoy.
