Sammy (Sam) Carruthers 70 of Hanover PA.
Passed away in the Gettysburg hospital on September 17 2021. Sam was preceded in death by his mom Patricia Ann Carruthers, his father Donald Earl Carruthers and his brother Donald Ray Carruthers (Ray) and his grandparents. He is survived by his brothers Bud (Joan) Carruthers, Paul Carruthers and Jack ( Pauline) Carruthers, girlfriend Linda Emlet, 2 sons Andrew and Eric Carruthers, and neices and nephews. Sam grew up in Iowa, lived in keosauqua graduated from Van Buren High School then joined the military. Sam loved music, he played the guitar and loved making music, photography, boating, fishing and hiking also spending time with his lifelong friend Richie Anderson. He worked for many years at Harley Davidson as a welder before returning to Iowa where he retired before moving to Pennsylvania to be with his girlfriend Linda.
