Getting to see Samantha grow and adapt to her first year of college and the Corps will be something we will always remember. Her determination and concern for others is a wonderful skill that we will use as a tool to teach future classes. She will hold a very special place in our hearts and will be dearly missed.

I remember always going to smoothie king, target, and random places off campus together and just listening to music and having a blast. I am so lucky to share a birthday with such an amazing, kind, and caring soul. You were always there for me as a wonderful friend

I had gone to Middle School and High School with Samantha. I never really knew her and maybe only said a few words to her in passing, but I knew her to be an extremely kind and sweet girl. She was an amazing soul and will be missed dearly by many. My hearts hurts so deeply for her friends, family, and fiancé. Praying for every single one of you. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” Matthew 5:4.

My condolences to Samantha's family. I feel so lucky to have been able to work with Samantha. We met for the first time at work and we instantly became friends. We carpooled to work everyday together and would either get food or boba after work. I always had so much fun with Sam and work is just not at all the same without her. She really inspired me and gave me confidence in my own teaching skills. I will always cherish the amazing memories that we made together in just the two short weeks that I knew her.
Our god daughter has gone to the mighty heaven in the sky, where all of us hope to be one day. God has chosen our special one, as he needs her so much more than us. No words can even help the pain that all of you and us can even stand. Sam will be so missed but keep in mind we will see her on our special day until that happens… Rest In peace Samantha Lee Melanson you were so so loved.

From our dear friends, Steve and Janice Bochman:

"I only met Samantha twice. It was probably no more than 15 minutes each time. But I remember her well. She was the kind of person any father would want to have as a daughter. She had a beautiful smile and seemed very self assured and confident. She seemed to have everything going for her. She was the kind of person you remembered. I was stunned to get the call from Pat earlier this month that she passed away so suddenly and so young."
Sam was hard working with a passion for animals. Having only met her a few times, I could tell she was energetic and loving. Rick shared several stories of the family adventures with me and it was not hard to see how much love there is in the family. Sam brightened many lives and will live long through the lives she touched. I will always remember Sam and hope to see her in heaven someday. To the Melanson family, Sam had a short life but lived it to the fullest. My condolences for your loss, but I hope you focus on celebrating her life.
(Regards, Henning & Dede)
We did not know Sam personally but have heard many wonderful stories about her from Kathy and Pat. Saying we're sorry for this tragic loss of your beautiful girl is not enough. Hoping your happy memories and stories about her will help ease your journey through this difficult time.
Sincere Condolences,
