Samantha's obituary
Samantha Nicole Buysse
May 18, 2004 – January 27, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Samantha Nicole Buysse, who left this world far too soon on January 27, 2025, in De Pere, Wisconsin. She was born on May 18, 2004, in San Diego, California, and in her 20 years, she filled the lives of those around her with warmth, kindness, and an unshakable spirit.
Sam graduated from De Pere High School in 2022 and was honored posthumously with a degree from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay. She was a proud member of the Alpha Sigma sorority, where her sisters will always remember her for her boundless generosity and the light she brought into every room.
She is survived by her loving father, Charles Jeremiah Buysse III; her sister, Brittany; and her brothers, Brandon and Charles. She also leaves behind her Aunt Anna Marie (Buysse) and Uncle Glen McElroy, along with cousins Amanda and Christian McElroy; her Aunt Kathleen (Buysse) and Uncle Ronnie Barrow, with cousins Savannah and Sydney Barrow; and her grandfather Jay’s wife, Sue Buysse. Sam was also cherished by her grandparents, Arn and Lynn Freeman. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved grandparents, Karola and Jay Buysse.
Sam found joy in life’s simple pleasures—reading, crocheting, thrifting, visiting the farmer’s market, baking, traveling, and spending time with her family, lifelong friends, and her shared cat, King. Her favorite flower, the Lily of the Valley, and her love for the color pink reflect the softness and grace she carried through life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM at Destiny Church, 411 Destiny Drive, De Pere, WI 54115. Friends and loved ones are invited to visit with the family, share their favorite memories, and bring photos of Sam to honor her beautiful life.
Sam was truly beautiful inside and out. She led with love and kindness in all she did, touching the hearts of everyone who knew her. Whether through a lifelong bond or a brief encounter, she left an indelible mark on those around her. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in the love she shared and the memories she left behind.
