Salve Cristerna, 63, passed away on March 14, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She found the love of her life in Marcelino at the tender age of 15. Their bond stood the test of time, spanning 40 beautiful years of marriage. Born on August 25, 1960, in Mexico, Salve dedicated her life to the noble profession of nursing, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and care.

Salve was known for her unwavering dedication to her family, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her serious demeanor but she found joy in simple pleasures like music, cooking, and spending quality time with her loved ones, especially her cherished grandson, Ah Ji.

Salve is preceded in death by her father, Clemente Hurtado. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Marcelino; loving son, Cleiby; cherished grandson, Ah Ji; dear daughter-in-law, Jinnie; beloved mother, Adelfina Esparza; and sisters, Consuelo Esparza, Velia Esparza, and Socorro Cisneros.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate Salve's life will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at St. Mary Magdalene Parish (St. Benedict Catholic Church), 2339 York St, Blue Island, IL 60406. Interment will follow at St. Benedict Catholic Cemetery, 4600 W 135th St, Crestwood, IL 60445.

Salve Cristerna, de 63 años, falleció el 14 de marzo de 2024 rodeada de su amada familia. Encontró el amor de su vida en Marcelino a la tierna edad de 15 años. Su vínculo resistió la prueba del tiempo, abarcando 40 hermosos años de matrimonio. Nacida el 25 de agosto de 1960 en México, Salve dedicó su vida a la noble profesión de enfermería, donde tocó las vidas de muchos con su compasión y cuidado.

Salve era conocida por su dedicación inquebrantable a su familia, siempre lista para tender una mano amiga. Seguirá el entierro en el Cementerio Católico de San Benito, 4600 W 135th St, Crestwood, IL 60445.
