SallyAnn's obituary
SallyAnn grew up on Glenmore Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn and graduated from Franklin K. Lane HS in 1960. Before marrying Stanley in 1969 and raising a family, she was an independent working woman who loved traveling to warm weather destinations, attending Alan Freed’s rock and roll shows and cruising around town in her Mustang. She retired in 2013 from Kravet Fabrics out of Bethpage, LI. Like a true New Yorker, she loved working there except for the commute.
SallyAnn loved English murder mysteries and Masterpiece Theater, reading the newspaper cover to cover, daily crosswords, black coffee, cherry blossoms, gabbing on the phone, the Everly Brothers and doo wop music.
She leaves her family with memories of her smile, scratchy New York accent, her traditional Southern Italian holiday meals and receiving greeting cards on any and all major holidays. Her favorite saying was “Put a smile on your face, join the whole human race and you’ll think that you’re falling in love”. And love her we did.
SallyAnn is buried at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury, NY. A celebration or her life is planned for a later date.
