I enjoyed volunteering in Sally’s class and learned a lot from her. My son Bennie was in her class and he enjoyed being in kindergarten. He has now graduated college. My family will miss her deeply.

Sally was a wonderful person and friend. We met many years ago at the Sierra Club Singles group in Chico. It was a group of about 20 or 30 , who enjoyed the outdoors. We had many local gatherings as well as trips to the coast, mountains, Clair Tappaan Lodge - hiking, enjoying nature, staying in hostels and camping. Sally was always a very significant part of the group. She had such an upbeat spirit - ready for adventure, pranks, dressing up in costumes and having fun. Always very caring and supportive. Later 7 of us gathered yearly to travel to National Parks, other states and interesting places for about 23 years. All fun adventures - lots of laughs, catching up, cards, games, puzzles, etc. and a song to commemorate the adventure! We will miss her so...
When she moved to Monterey (late 90's, early 2000's ?), she introduced me to the beauty and uniqueness of Big Sur and the Big Sur coast. Since then I traveled yearly to visit her and we continued the hiking, exploring, events, classes and activities.
She had such a calm, positive, caring, thoughtful, playful manner - so easy to be with - such a good friend. I will miss her.

Sally brightened up many days at Marina Del Mar School. She would compose a poem or song for special occasions and plan field trips with other classes. It was always fun to do projects with her. After retirement, she dedicated hours to volunteer endeavors, travel and adventures. She was a great gift to our community with kindness, dedication and laughter. Her memory will live on and continue to inspire me and many others. You are an example of living life to the fullest, dear friend.

What a legacy Sally leaves behind. She was busy always giving of herself. Sally shared her interests and passion for life over our many years as friends and colleagues. After Sally’s retirement a few of us would meet up to share a meal each month. She touched so many lives. We are all so much richer for having known her. We miss Sally but she is forever in our hearts and in our thoughts. All our deepest sympathies to Sally’s family. She was so proud of you all and loved you so much.
Much love

Many shared down dogs at yoga class and coffee chats after…Sally and I lost contact during Covid and that was a big loss for me. She was a treasure.

SALLY- A quiet storm. We all loved hearing her decade birthday stories of danger and adventure. We loved her orange wig outfit. We loved her curly new hair. I can see her at her yoga spot at the Sports Center. She will be missed .

Ms. Eastham was my 1st grade teacher over 25 years ago. I still remember her always teaching us about the ocean and how kind she was to us. She made learning fun for us. I especially remember how she had her bunny, Ms.B, run around the classroom. I was sadden by the news of her passing but will always remember how great of a teacher she was to me.

The biggest thing i remember about Sally is her big smile. We enjoyed time spent camping with her in our Meerkat trailer. She definitely loved all her time with her grandson.
