Sally's obituary

Sally Jeannine Beeson, known to almost everyone she loved as “Nana,” went to be with Jesus on November 16, 2025, in Plano, Texas, at the age of 86. She was fun, impactful, present, and completely devoted to the people she loved. If you knew Sally, you knew she lived with her whole heart.

Sally spent most of her life in Plano, where she poured her heart into raising her kids and being “everybody’s mom.” She coached countless teams, cheered from every sideline, shaped young lives as a teacher, and welcomed her kids’ friends as if they were her own. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, warmth, and something delicious cooking on the stove.

In the later years of her life, Sally did exactly what brought her the most joy: being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Nothing delighted her more than being “Nana.” Some of their sweetest memories include mornings fishing together, cooking side-by-side in the kitchen, and long afternoons spent splashing and talking by the pool. She never missed a football game, softball game, cheer competition, graduation, or birthday celebration—if her grandkids were involved, Nana was there.

Sally is survived by her son, Mike Beeson, and his wife, Karen; her daughter, Kelly Middleton, and her husband, Blake; and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life—granddaughter Brittni Beeson, grandsons Collin Middleton, Brennan Beeson, and his wife, Lauren, and Thomas Middleton.

Sally is also survived by her great-granddaughters, Lindlee and Leighton Beeson, whom she adored. They held a special place in her heart and brought a whole new kind of joy to her life.

Sally was a follower of Jesus Christ and held tightly to her faith. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano and spoke of her eagerness to go home and be with Jesus. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is finally where her heart longed to be.

Nana leaves behind a family who loved her deeply, learned from her constantly, and will miss her every single day. She left the people around her better, braver, and more loved—and that is the beautiful legacy she leaves with all of us.

To honor Sally’s request, the family will have a private gathering to celebrate her life.
