Sallie Ivon Jones Beaver, 91, of Hernando, MS passed away November 10, 2022 with her son by her side.

Sallie was born May 25, 1931 in Zama, MS to Edna and Hobart Jones. She attended Durant High School in Durant, MS and Holmes Community College in Holmes, MS. She enjoyed bird watching, daylilies, and reading. She was a member of Hernando United Methodist Church and was retired from Hernando Elementary School and DeSoto Drugs, where she worked part time after retiring from Hernando Elementary.

Sallie was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Annette Jones, brother, Garland Jones and husband, Gilbert "Buddy" Beaver; and survived by her son, Christopher Beaver of Memphis, TN, six international exchange students which she loved dearly, Melanie Gholson of Senatobia, MS, Carlin and Newman Hurst of Henderson, TN, Felip and Lana Colon of Carrolton, MS and Lynn and Dicky Short of Corinth, MS.

Sallie was a wonderful lady who will be deeply missed.

A graveside memorial will be held in the spring of 2023.
