Saelafen's obituary
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Saelafen Her, who left us too soon on May 21, 2025 at the age of 38.
Saelafen was born on August 23, 1986, in Chian Kham, Phayao, Thailand, to his loving parents Chai Her and Shoua Vang. He later made his home in Sacramento, California, where he grew up surrounded by a large and close-knit family.
Saelafen was a man full of life, laughter, and warmth. He was known for his unforgettable laugh, his tight hugs, and his huge, heartwarming smile. His light-hearted spirit and sense of humor brought comfort and joy to everyone around him. Whether he was cracking a joke or simply sitting beside you in silence, his presence made people feel at ease.
He had a strong love for working with his hands, especially through woodworking. Surrounded by his tools, he found focus, peace and joy in creating, building, and fixing. Always expressing his creativity.
Saelafen is survived by his parents, Chai Her, Shoua Vang and Lia Vue, as well as four brothers and nine sisters, who will miss him dearly and carry his memory in their hearts every single day.
A 24/7 memorial service in his honor will be held from July 5th to July 7th, 2025, at Longcheng Memorial Service, 6500 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95822, with family and loved ones gathering to celebrate his life, grieve his loss, and remember the joy he brought to this world.
Though Saelafen may be gone from our sight, his laughter, love, and the memories he gave us will live on forever.
