Ryan with a nice brown trout- I was so fortunate to take this trip with Ryan, his son, brother and dad, among many other wonderful people

When my husband and I first started joining the Novells at Sundance nearly 20 years ago Ryan was the first person to befriend me. I felt like an outsider amidst the tight community and was trying to be low-impact yet felt eager to connect. Ryan was the first person I remember to make me feel included. He approached me on the dock with a warm heart and questions about my family and me. I got to learn about him and his nascent family. I could see that he was kind to core. I knew I would always have a friend in Ryan. Thank you to Sara for opening up this memory board. I am happy for this opportunity to reflect on my gratitude for Ryan. I am sending compassion and love to his beautiful family.
