Known for her infectious laugh, Ruth Alice (Price) Stellmon was born May 21, 1947. Ruth was a descendant of Oregon Trail pioneers. She graduated from Glendale, Oregon, High School in 1965. Ruth and her husband of 55 years, George, were small business owners in Portland in the 70s and 80s owning Ross Island, Day and Night, Hoot Owl groceries, and the European Deli. Ruth was also a Portland school bus driver for 10 years in southeast Portland. She was a member and treasurer of Waverly Heights Congregational Church for many years, and volunteered at the Columbia City Library and city hall, and the St. Helens United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed being a member of the Tualatin Valley Accordionists.

She is survived by her husband, George, son Charlie (Tomoko), daughter Erin (Aaron), grandchildren Kazuki and Claire, sister Penny Lucas, cousin Mary Lou (Jim) Long, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth passed away on July 9, 2022.
