Ruth's obituary
Ruth Pruett, born on May 8, 1939, peacefully passed away on August 1, 2023. A woman of warmth, sincerity, and occasional mischief, Ruth left an impact on the hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Survived by her sons, Timothy and James Pruett, and her daughter, Sandra Lester, Ruth was a beacon of understanding and patience. Recognizing the unique personalities and needs of her children, she nurtured and encouraged them according to their specific life paths, instilling in them the value of chasing dreams while remaining grounded and looking towards the sky.
Born and raised in Milford, CT, Ruth graduated from high school in 1956. She furthered her education at Yale University, where she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1960. The same year, Ruth married and began a new chapter of her life.
Ruth brought three beautiful children into the world between 1962 and 1967. Not only did she guide her children, but she also imbued in them invaluable life lessons. Her legacy of kindness, acceptance, and unconditional love for family and friends will long be remembered.
Ruth's life will be celebrated on August 12, 2023 at 11:00 PM at 1150 Sheffield Rd. It is not only an event to mourn her passing but to honor the remarkable woman that she was. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
