Ruth Ann Mcmurtrey Phillips was born on June 6, 1945 to Gertrude and Elson Mcmurtrey She was the youngest of 9 children She was raised and got her education in copan ok. Ruth married Monty Weiss in 1966 and had one child Elizabeth She divorced in 1982. She met and married her husband of 33 yrs Billy Paul Phillips they made their home in copan and stayed their till their passing. Ruth was a very loving person whom treasured her family referring to them as her most valued treasure. She loved her Lord and would get a true look of joy on her face when she spoke of her going home to be with God one day. She was a loving and caring mother and forever adorned by her grandchildren She will be missed and her memory treasured.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Gertrude and Elson Mcmurtrey brothers junior Thomas Eldon Thomas Donald Thomas Jack Thomas Tommy Mcmurtrey Louis Mcmurtrey and Gene Thomas and one sister Helen Howard.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law Elizabeth and William weiss of copan ok three grandchildren Natasha Pippin of Salina ok. Donnie pippin of Tulsa ok

Ruth has four great grandchildren Jersey Pippin of Dewey ok Allee Pippin of Dewey ok Garrett Pippin of wash state and Harper Pippin of Tulsa ok She will be laid to rest at the Sunnyside Cemetery on Caney Ks
