Diamond was my neighbor in Pawtucket for several years. My oldest daughter was born while I was living here, and before Diamond even knew my name, she would flag me down as I was walking down the street and give me baby clothes and diapers. She didn't even know who I was, but her instinct and her impulse was to offer me and my family support and love.

I'm very sorry to hear of her passing. May her memory be a blessing.

I was so sorry to hear about Diamond's passing. She was such a vibrant and beautiful  person.inside and out just the day before she passed we were together at the CAC holiday celebration trying to find creative ways to help with ending homelessness. Diamond wore her heart on her sleeve and she always put everything and everyone before herself she was a tireless advocate for the unhoused community. She fought to make sure homelessness individuals in the Pawtucket and Providence area didn’t go unnoticed and more importantly she worked extremely hard to make sure they had access to warm coats clothes and blankets if needed she organized clothing drives  collected donations although she struggled with her own housing and health issues she rarely let it show and sure enough didn’t let it stop her from doing what she could for the unhoused I find it difficult to believe that the thing she lead with her heart is what ultimately ended her life They say Diamonds are forever and the mark on our hearts that Diamond made will definitely last forever although she is gone she will forever be my friend and sister in this fight to end homelessness

Found an image of Diamond at the Buy nothing coat exchange! A few weeks ago she actually reached out to me because she wanted to donate coats to my kiddos school like she did last year. She went above and beyond to support her community and many others.

A true angel on earth  who will always be a special part  of our family ❤️ the Bates Family

Rest easy Miss Diamond 🙏

Diamond's legacy will always live on. She has impacted many people with her smile, with her activism, and with her authenticity. Diamond walks in a room full of State leaders she knows their names and credentials. Diamond speaks from her inner truth. Others better be prepared to hear her because she will give our underserved communities a voice. Diamond is known to overcome statistics and social norms. Bringing others up with her mentorship not switching up who she is just being her, learning and teaching. Her essence is here to stay. In Diamonds words "I'm trying to be better." I pray she knows how amazing it has been to work beside her and to see her passion for justice. I will cherish every memory of Diamond and every word of encouragement she has given me. Love you Diamond! Big Hugs Big Puff🪽
In response to "What made Diamond different from most people you know?"

Diamond was undeniably a remarkable force and a true advocate for our community. She lived authentically and stayed true to herself, and her impact on those around her was profound. She truly was the real MVP, and a quick Google search will reveal the countless ways she made a difference.

Her absence will be deeply felt, and I will miss you dearly, my friend. I am so grateful that our paths crossed; forever thankful for your  encouragement and inspiration.

  Rest in Peace, Amiga.

I am so sorry to hear about Diamond's passing. I still can’t believe it, she was so lively with energy and compassion towards others. I remember Diamond carrying large bags full of coats and clothes she used to get for the homeless with such love in her eyes. She will always be missed. My deep condolences to her friends and family. ❤️
