Ruth E. Baker passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 after a long illness.
Ruth grew up in Jacksonville, Illinois. She graduated from Jacksonville High School. Ruth worked for a law firm in Jacksonville, and was a secretary at Amoco Oil in Naperville, Illinois.
Ruth enjoyed playing golf at many different courses throughout her life. She thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship of the game. She was a member of the SaddleBrooke Golf Club Association.
Ruth was also a voracious reader, loved dancing, playing Bridge, shopping, and being with family and friends.
Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Ann McGovern of Tucson, AZ and Jacquelyn Ann Davis of Austin, TX, both of whom she adored. Ruth was also the proud Mimi of four surviving grandchildren that she loved spending time with. Grandchildren are Shannon McGovern of Sedro Woolley, WA, Brian McGovern of Tucson, AZ, and Alexandra and Cameron Davis of Austin, TX.
Her Memorial Service is March 9, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Vistoso Funeral Home.
