Dear Van,
What a record of faith your Mom has had. Such a wonderful example for us all. Her love for Jehovah could be seen in every picture, every word and deed. I will miss your Mom's beautiful smile. Know that she left an enduring impression on many hearts. Soon now we will see her again. It is just around the corner! Love you and Shaquel! Renita Polk (aka Neet)
So sorry for your loss. Sis. Cohen was a very memorable person. She loved Jehovah very much. Her example is very encouraging to us all. Just a little while longer we will see her soon. We love you all. You are in my prayers! Much love, Clarissa, Trey, Caden, and Tristan Mathis
I remember the first time I met Sister Cohen some years back when she was driving and getting around. Sister Cohen and I were invited to another sister's house for some dinner the sister knew I was getting off of work and that's when I met Sister Cohen. Sometime after that we surprisingly see each other with smiles on our faces visiting other congregations or at the assemblies and convention sites. She always has beautiful smiles on her face all the time, easy to talk to and always have something positive to say especially spiritual.
When I do see her sitting sometime by herself. I love to sit with her and just to listen to hear her talk sometimes taking time with older ones and to listen and to see them always up building and encouragement. That makes you want to do more for others. Some years after knowing Sister Cohen I met her daughter Van
for the first time at the Southeast Congregation.I didn't know they were mother and daughter at first and Van may not know or wasn't fully aware that I know her mom back then but I wanted to get to know Van too and it's such a joy to know Van and to love her as my spiritual sister as well as some of the family. Van and her mom has always have beautiful smiles, beautiful personality and to have love for our spiritual family. I'm so happy to have Sister Cohen and her daughter Van to be my beautiful spiritual sisters as well as the rest of their family even to this day. ❤️❤️❤️

She was our auntie. She knew she had our love. We had talked a few weeks earlier about her making her yearly trip to Charlotte. James & I will miss our visits to Savannah & eating at Sunrise Restaurant with her & our buddy Bruce! Our goal is to see them again when Revelations 21:3,4 is fulfilled. We send our condolences & love to all the family!
In response to "What made Ruth different from most people you know?"
Something that happens so often, hits us so hard each time it strikes someone in our family or a very close friend. We’re never prepared for it, but when we lose a loved one, we pray to Jehovah and as time has gone by we think back and know that Jehovah has been carrying us, when at our weakest He’s been comforting us.
We are praying to Jehovah in you all's behalf that you continue to trust and rely on Him.
We encourage you to continue to
“Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain you.” (Psalm 55:22)
Love💛,
The Christie Family

We have many fund memories of worshiping along with Sis. Cohens at the West Congregation and working with her in the ministry.
In response to "What act of kindness did you witness from Ruth?"
As a young person growing up and watching Sister Cohen while I attended the West Congregation, I learned what tenacity, zeal and love for Jehovah truly looked like. Sister Cohen was such a faithful sister. I never heard her complain and she always displayed a warmth and enthusiasm that could be felt by all in her presence. She set an excellent example for all no matter their age.
In response to "What did you learn from Ruth?"
