RUTH ANN DAVIS

Ruth Ann Davis, age 83, a 51 year resident of Bullhead City, Arizona, was welcomed into Heaven surrounded by her beloved children on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.

Ruth was born July 11, 1940, in Los Angeles, California. She was a stay-at-home mom while raising her six children. After her husband retired she worked over nine years for Chicago Title. Some of her co-workers described her as the "Office Sunshine".

Ruth had many interests and hobbies throughout her life. She and her husband belonged to a bowling league, enjoyed playing weekly card games, and board games with friends. Ruth enjoyed bingo, bunco, and was an avid daily book reader. Despite her many interests and hobbies Ruth's greatest passion was her family.

While her children were young she could be seen in the bleachers, lawn chairs, and even the back of a truck or two rooting them on during baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, and any other sport they decided to tackle. As her children grew into adults she was still there to offer love and support through their many seasons of life.

Ruth was described by many who knew her as an "Angel here on Earth." One of her closest friends, of more than 70 years, stated she lived life with grace and dignity.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Arthur Davis; parents, William and Violite Manning; brothers, Alvin, Bill, and Louis; sisters, Alice, and Maryellen; and a daughter, Tammy Louise Davis Esposite.

Ruth is survived by her son, Tom Davis; four daughters, Mary (Neal) Bellew, Violette Phillips, Suzanne Hanson, and Jodi (Stacy) Mitchell; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ruth was a very loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. To say our hearts are broken is an understatement. Our lives will never be the same.

Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 29, 2023. A family viewing will start at 10:00am, and public viewing will start at 10:30am, at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 S Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley.
