We only knew Rusty for a short time but during that time, we could see that he had a lot of heart and cared so much for his daughter s that he was so proud of. Our sincere condolences to all of the family. It was evident in meeting you all that Rusty was deeply cared for. Our hearts are with you all and we hope that your memories will always keep him close.

I only knew Rusty for a short time while he was a shift manager at cliffs. Our last conversation was a couple weeks ago and it was about the wonderful time he had with his daughter hanging out in Lancaster county. He truly loved his kids. RIP Rusty!

A personal obituary from Rusty’s mom
From the time of birth, Rusty was always very active. A serious child, a wonderful son and a brother. He showed love always to others. He was a very active teen. He played baseball from age five to men’s league. He played soccer and he was a gymnast. He was a great musician and an outstanding worker from paper boy, Ponderosa, NCR to his many supervisory positions throughout the years. He graduated high school from James M Bennett High School and earned an economics degree at Towson University. He was a talented person in all jobs he did, from building to designing things. He always lived his life to the fullest. He received Jesus into his heart when he went to Rock Church in Baltimore, MD. He loved the Lord when he was a little boy attending the Holiness Church in Fruitland, MD. He leaves behind two wonderful daughters whom he loved greatly. Rusty was very proud of his daughters, Christina and Hannah, in all they have done in their lives. They were the love of his life. The “dash” (time spent on earth) was short for Rusty but he lived his life to the fullest. Rusty is already missed greatly and will never be forgotten.

Rusty was always an outgoing caring person. He was a role model growing up. I know when I talked with him over the past few years he was very proud of his daughters. You will be missed.

Late 80's Eddie and I went to hang with Rusty at his apartment in Towson. A few drinks and games of Trivial Pursuit led to Rusty's decision it was time to have fireworks...in the apartment...with 9-10 foot ceilings...late at night. How we didn't burn down that apartment is beyond me! You just never knew what was going to happen - we did get the burn marks off the ceiling.

When Eddie and I lived with Rusty in the townhouse, he was working a late shift. It never failed that on the weekend when he got off work, Ed and I were already asleep but Rusty would run in and jump on us in the bed. Next thing I know we were either piling in the car to head to OC (I drove while those guys slept on the way there) or it was Mario Brothers marathon. If Rusty was ready to go, you go!
