We are saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Russell Parsons, a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and loving presence in this world. Born on September 21, 1949 in Chester West Virginia to the late Dorthea and Richard Parsons. Russell was a graduate of Oak Glen High School Class of 1968. Russell's journey through life was filled with laughter, compassion, and an unparalleled sense of humor. On August 13, 2024, Russell peacefully left this world with his family by his side, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Russell's spirit will continue to live on through his cherished children Jennifer Parsons-Clark (Corey) of Harrisburg , PA and Matt Parsons of Lewisberry, PA. Jennifer and Matt will ensure that Russell's vibrant personality and caring nature will forever be remembered by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Russell was also survived by his grandchildren, Tyra Bell (Pittsburgh, PA), Bailey Parsons (Ashley) Bainbridge, PA, Noah Parsons (Harrisburg, PA), Kobe Foster (Victoria) Honolulu, HI, Taylor Clark (Harrisburg, PA), Corey Clark Jr (Kelsie) Harrisburg, PA. Russell also had an extremely close relationship with his daughter-in-law Tammy Kreiser (Mechanicsburg, PA) and Sarah White (Middletown, PA), his Home health aide, who was like a granddaughter to him and had been taking care of him daily for 2 years. Russell also had 5 great- granddaughters and 1 great- grandson.
Russell was known for his quick wit and ability to make anyone in he room laugh. His uncanny ability to find the humor in any situation will be deeply missed. A man who could effortlessly put a smile on your face, Russell was a funny man in every depth of the word.
However, it was not just Russell's humor that made him a cherished individual. His legacy of caring left an indelible imprint on all who knew him. He was a man who cared deeply for his family, friends, and community. The love he poured into this world will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the life of a man who brought joy, humor, and warmth to every person he met. Russell Parsons will always be remembered for his radiant smile, infectious laughter, and most significantly, his caring heart.
