Russ was a kind and generous person.  He was always there to help others.  I wrote a blog about and extraordinary adventure Russ and his son Adam had with our church group to help Jan Rokosz, a lovely woman who needed her bathroom remodeled but didn't have the money to afford it.  In humorous entries we documented the amazing gift Russ gave us on he week off to help our church group do an "extreme bathroom makeover" for Jan.  Here's the link if you are interested in seeing pictures and reading more:

Russ was always ready to jump in and help do amazing things like this.  I admired him and was honored to be his friend.  

I worked with Russ at Best Buy and we always chuckled when we saw each other, as we shared the same first name, Russell/Russ.

Sending prayers and blessings to you and your family, the world lost a shining star with his departure.
