Russell "Heath" Ferguson, 55, of Elkton, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord December 11, 2024. He was born on july 30, 1969, to the late Joel Edwin, and Linda Towers Ferguson, in Sugar Valley, Georgia.

Heath always enjoyed the outdoors, football, a good conversation, and telling others about the lord. He was saved in 1991 and later called to serve as a preacher, and as a missionary with Rock of Ages prison ministry.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Amanda Hilton; four children: Gage Ferguson of New York, Barak Fergson, Victoria Ferguson, and Noah Ferguson, of Georgia; brother; Keith Ferguson, of Kentucky sister; Sharmon Gazaway, of Georgia; and 5 grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 11a.m.Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at

Church of Solsburg, 14695 rochingham pike, Elkton Virginia 22827 with Pastor David Burrell, Pastor Glen Turner, and Pastor Randy Sutherland officiating. A private burial will be held at Woods Chapel Cemetery in New Market Virginia
