He was born in Houston, TX at Jefferson Davis Hospital on October 17, 1963 to Margaret Goods Gregory and Leon Allen. Russell's primary years started in Tallulah, LA, then he attended Wharton Elementary, Houston, TX, Cullen Middle School in Houston, TX and Jack Yates Highschool but decided to complete his education …
