I was so sorry to hear about Rusty passing Growing up he always picked on me giving me a hard time always calling me a old woman, and we are the same age I will miss him for sure.

When Rusty was younger, he went on a helicopter ride at the fair. When they landed, he jumped out, and started kissing the ground. We will get back to that.
When I was 15 or 16, Rusty woke me up one morning and said we were going for a ride. He didn't say where we were going or why, we drove pretty far from the house, towards Lake Bistineau State Park. We stopped at a gas station, he asked me to run in and grab two drinks. When I came out he was in the passenger seat and when I asked why he only replied with, “drive me home.” I panicked, he panicked, as I almost took out four mailboxes, merged on the highway without looking, and drove way too slow. He told me, “if you are in front of them, they cannot hit you, and if you do it right, popo's will not catch you.” I still repeat that in my head when driving. He taught me the right way, but if you asked him, he would always rephrase it, to make it sound better in front of grams. Anyway, we made it home! With no casualties, I was proud and Rusty was excited, so excited that he jumped out of the truck, and started kissing the ground. I jumped out too with so much excitement… I may have forgotten to put the truck in park, first time driver, I almost ran him over. Thankfully, there we were so many people outside, someone jumped in and pushed the break. I never lived that down. “You remember that time you almost ran me over, Dede? You should go make my plate.” 😂 I'll always cherish that day, even though I almost ran him over. 😬
