Rufina's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rufina "Rufi" Mirabal, a beloved mother, business owner, and beacon of kindness, on March 23, 2025. Born on the unique day of February 29, 1956, Rufina was a special soul whose life will be celebrated and remembered in equal measure.
Rufina, known affectionately as Rufi, was a warm, loving, and caring woman whose selfless spirit touched everyone she met. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she lived by the mantra that "everyone is family." Her open-hearted philosophy impacted many lives, making her a cherished member of her community.
Her greatest accomplishments were not only her successful business venture but also her children. Her legacy of kindness and generosity was evident in her unwavering love for her children and the countless others she considered her own. Rufina was a fierce advocate for love, giving back and family, attributes reflected in her daily actions and long-term ambitions.
Her profound impact on those around her resulted in Rufina being much loved and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her influence will continue to inspire us to emulate her kindness in our own lives.
Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Rufina are invited to a viewing on April 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Brown Colonial Mortuary followed by burial at El Toro Cemetery at 1:30PM. This gathering will offer an opportunity to remember and celebrate the beautiful life Rufina lived and the love she shared with us all.
