Rufina "Granny" Huffines, born on September 4, 1934, in Abra, Philippines, passed away on March 4, 2023. Rufina, who was also known as Granny, was a determined and funny woman, lighting up any room she entered. She had a big smile, loud laughter, and a mischievous, playful, and easy-going personality.
In her life, Rufina was a laborer at Avalon Bay, working hard for her family. She had many hobbies, including gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, eating Hawaiian Sweet Rolls, and remaining undefeated in the family at chess. Rufina was deeply loved by her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed.
Rufina is survived by her loving husband, Lester Huffines, and their children, Veronica Means and John Hammersla. She also leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren, Angela Oakes, Ryan Purdy, Randy Purdy, Howard Means, John Hammersla, and Jennifer Hammersla.
