Rudy!!!! It was a shock yesterday and still a shock to hear of your passing yo glory. I worked with you on 44 N at DC General hospital from 1991 till the closure of the institution then ended up in VAMC Washington Dc together.I knew your beginning in the nursing profession from an LPN till you attained the highest cadre in the profession of Nursing as a Doctorate degree and specialist as Family Nurse practitioner . You were soft spoken but firm in your principles.
Rudy sleep on , rest comfortably in the bosom of our lord. May the good lord comfort all the loved ones.

Rudy, you were soft spoken but when you spoke you made your point loud and clear. You set your goals high and achieved them all. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to serve in the military and to continue to take care of those who served. RIP my colleague and friend.

The Williams Family offers their condolences to Dr Robinson family. We had the pleasure of knowing Dr Robinson from the days of DCGeneral hospital. Where he took care of my sister he always had her back. To my amazement I had the pleasure of working with Dr Robinson at the VA hospital and he was equally sincere. He was honest, caring and he will stick up for you. We will miss you Dr Robinson. May your soul rest in Perpetual Peace.

Dr. Rudy Robinson will be missed. He could always be counted on to provide humor to lighten the mood at the Reserve unit and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

Dr Robinson will surely be missed by all. I remember times he would be sitting talking to his aunt if only he could get a word in. We had our times talking about medical, science and what was going on in the world…CNN especially. I know it’s difficult for the family. I hope and pray you can be strong. Much love to you all. ❤️

On September 3rd ,Gina and I made the trip to Bowie, Maryland to bring Rudy down to Texas. I must say, I did not know what to expect. I knew that Rudy had cancer. I knew Rudy was strong-minded and there could be some resistance. I knew this was a family that I had great respect for and loved very much. Gina has been one of very best friends for at least 42 years and I knew whatever was coming, would be handled with God's grace and love.
September 3rd was a very long day at the airport. Gina and I are former airline employees, so no surprise with the gate changes, flight delays, and last minute load restrictions. What I was so impressed with was Rudy's toughness, both mentally and physically. I will always be amazed by how Rudy was such a trouper. At that phase of his health journey, he needed a wheelchair, was not eating or drinking much. We parked ourselves and Rudy into one of the Airline clubs and started feeding Rudy more than I am sure he wanted to eat and drink, but he appeased us and surprisingly ate more than we though he would. We wheeled him from gate to gate and Rudy did not complain one time. I am not sure that I would have had his strength and resolve.
To the family, I just want to say, I am sorry for your loss. Siblings have shared experiences and have been each others companions for a lifetime. Siblings are our first best friends. I hope you find comfort in knowing that you will see Rudy again and he is not longer in pain. In God's name, Amen.
