My name is Donna Gambee and I worked with Rudi several years ago at Nexus Properties. I introduced Rudi to Afternoon Tea and saw her several times at the Aubrey Rose Tea Room in La Mesa. She so enjoyed it! I will always remember Rudi for her joyous spirit, strong faith, her beautiful smile and "little" laugh. She was very special. Rest peacefully, my friend, in God's loving arms. My deepest condolences to all her family and friends. With love, Donna

Bear you on the breath of dawn

Grief is the evidence of excess love with nowhere to go. Rudilynn Sawi, you were the embodiment of pure love on this planet. ANYONE who knew you, felt an overwhelming sense of joy, peace, kindness, warmth, and tenderness because you would make everyone feel special and loved.

No one would know you were dealing with a battleground within your body. No one would know the struggles you faced because you fought to bring light to this world. You fought to lift those up around you. You fought to create peace and understanding no matter what you were going through. You offered acceptance to everyone and always extended a kind smile. You had faith, no matter the circumstance. You lived a life full of grace even if you were in pain. You lived a life of love to serve as an inspiration for us all. You lived a life of laughter and positivity. You lived for the people around you, and you would go through anything to have the opportunity to love us more. You gave your all from a place of love, no matter the challenge.

I would see you triumph time and time again. I would watch you overcome so many obstacles, and you would still have so much hope. You are one of the reasons I believe in magic and miracles.

You have been a miracle to us, Rudi, not just in your physical form, but in all the love you gave. You have been pure magic, not just when you are with us, but in the light you have given to our lives. You made me a better person by just sharing your life with me. I thank God I was blessed with every moment I shared with you. You called me your sunshine, but you were always and will forever be the light that leads me forward.

I love you so much. My heart is breaking, but I know you are here with me, and you are resting in power and peace.

My sweet Ridi, you were such a darling and super smart student in my 7th grade English class. You and Elaine were such good friends and very dear to me. Your sweetness and light will remain with us forever.

I met Rudi in early 2004 at SD Latin Film festival through a mutual friend. We hit it off right away. We enjoyed many dance trips, performances, times out eating at new restaurants( true foodie),tears in rough times, hanging with me &my son, talks over tea, long car rides, etc. So many great moments over the past 18 years. You are an amazing friend, fighter, &woman of Faith. I miss your smile & that sweet giggle too that was so reassuring no matter what was going on with you. Love to Miss Tess,  Rosemary, and all the family. Thanks for sharing her with us all . GOD bless you & give you peace❤️🙏🏽.
Rest in peace, Rudilynn! I think fondly back to our times in Vegas and salsa dancing. We had a lot of fun back in the days. Thank you for the memories beautiful lady! Love you
I remember meeting Rudi for the first time at a salsa night. I had always heard her name and everyone talk about their friend named Rudi. We met that night and it was like we were friends for years. She was just that kind of person. Her laugh and smile will be in my heart forever as well as so many beautiful fun memories through the years of dancing together.
Sending prayers and love to the Sawi Family. Rudilynn, I met you through Charina and my sister Jeanie. They’ve always had fond memories of you
The last time I saw you was at Balboa Hospital. It was only for a brief moment, but I’ll always remember your warmth and smile.
My deepest condolences goes out to the family. May Rudi live forever in the Kingdom of God.
Rudi, I’m honored to have met you in college. We were friends instantly. We would always be early to class so we can sit together.  We hung out together often we prayed together and had lunches,  You were there for me on my wedding day.  Always smiling always funny and laughing with me.  Even though you were going through rough times you still were smiling and laughing.  You will be missed by so many you’ve touched so many of us here on earth.  Now you’re pain free and dancing on the fields of gold.  Heaven is a beautiful place as beautiful as you my sweet loving friend.   Condolences to all the family and friends.  Rudi was very special
