Ruby Roberson, 95, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed on September 23, 2020. Ruby was born on February 25, 1925 to Sara Roberson and Thomas Roberson. Ruby was the eldest of three sisters and one brother. She is the last of her siblings to go home.
In life Ruby owned a daycare for 35 years in southern Baton Rouge. She helped bring up many prominent political figures in Baton Rouge and they couldn't help showing her love whenever they spotted her in any of her favorite markets or on her favorite bench in B.R. Memorial Park. She worked in her daughter Sharons' daycare as a cook for a multitude of loving children who's lives she impacted. Ruby was a light to those around her and she has left legacy of lives in her wake; 2 great great grand children, 34 great grand children, 10 grand children, and 8 children.
Ruby Roberson was a stable in the life of everyone in her bloodline. She was Madea, she was a hot meal when anyone was hungry, she was an open door when family needed it, she was home. Ruby will forever be loved and her life will never stop being celebrated by those she touched and that love her.
