Ruby Lavert Reasby was born on July 29, 1944 in Texarkana, Texas to Alphonzo and Margrett Lavert. The family migrated to Washington State soon after her birth where her younger brother Howard and sister Barbara were born.
Ruby was educated in Seattle, graduating from Garfield High School. After graduation, she became a Flight Attendant for Northwest Orient Airlines, traveling extensively throughout Asia. She later worked as an Administrative Assistant at her alma mater Garfield and in subsequent years in the telecommunications industry.
Ruby was married to the love of her life, Educator Dr. Harold Reasby. They both had a great love for the students he served believing that “all kids count”.
Reasby was preceded in death by her husband Hal, her parents and her brother Howard. She is survived by sister Barbara, nephew Jerod and stepson Garth [wife Heather].
