Roy was a very special person! We are so sorry for your loss and that we can’t be there in person for the celebration of life, but we will be there in spirit. Love you Althiea!!
Remembering Roy: Over the years I learned that Roy was a hard worker and a "jack of all trade", and the solid rock to his family. He could do almost anything. He could fix it if it was broken no matter what it was. He was a carpenter, a mechanic, a lawn man, a cook, a baby-sitter, a Nurse, and a loving Christian family man. He loved his family, and his extended family, and often his friends were his family as well. He enjoyed family gatherings and reunions. At our annual family reunion he'd always asked if I made the baked beans he enjoyed so much, and I would always make them for him. I also remember how much he liked stuffed peppers and I sometimes made them and invited him and Althiea for dinner. He was always so appreciative. He was always pleasant and easy going and willing to loan a helping hand. I only visited them once after they moved to Arizona in retirement and it was Roy who changed his scheduled to make the trip to the airport to pick up my sister Joy, and I and also returned us a week later. I was fortunate enough to spend time with him and Althiea on his last trip to MD and WV in September 2019. Roy will be missed by so many, but we know he's looking down and smiling.
We are sorry that Roy had to leave us so soon, but happy that he's no longer sick or in pain. We know he's now in his heavenly home. Sending love and prayers of comfort to all his family.
Dear Roy, I am saddened to hear of your passing, but at the same time grateful to God that he took you up, and ended your pain. May God Bless and smile on you and your loved ones.
I am so sorry for your loss but am glad that Roy is in Heaven with Our Father. We will see him again some day! We will be there in spirit with you for his celebration of life. We love you Althiea❤️
