Roy's obituary

Roy was born in Oak Lawn on October 30, 1949 to Doris (Burns) and Roy Lundquist, Sr. He attended St. Gerald School and went on to Oak Lawn High School. While there, he witnessed an EF4 tornado and remembered the destruction for the rest of his life. He graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1971 as a member of the Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity. He met Nancy Westergreen in Chicago through mutual friends and they each knew they had found someone special. They married in the Westergreen's back yard in Glen Ellyn on June 14, 1974. After living on Armitage for 10 years, they moved to Lincoln Square, where they lived happily for 29 years. Roy was the finance manager at Perillo Downers Grove where they franchised Bentleys and Lamborghinis. Roy worked in the car industry for over 30 years. He died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on October 10, 2018 of an unknown infection. Roy is survived by his wife Nancy (Westergreen) Lundquist and their three sons, Brian Lundquist and his wife Marissa Bass, Jeffrey Lundquist and his wife Jessie Banwart, and Scott Lundquist. Roy is also survived by his sister Penny (Lundquist) Duszynski and her husband Lou, as well as their children Cheryl O'Brien and Karen Duszynski. He is also survived by Wesus and Minnie, the family felines. A celebration of his life will be held on November 1, 2018 at Club Curragh, 6705 N. Northwest Highway, Chicago, IL 60631.
