Dr. Lawrence was my academic advisor at OU Athens for my Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering . He was instrumental to my profession and achievements after graduation. He was ecstatic to Know that I became a professional engineer. He did what a good professor is supposed to do, teaching and inspiring. Dr. Lawrence will be missed.

Dr Lawrence was both my professor and friend. During his running of the Athens Marathon, he passed me up ! And I was a former US Marine Corps Officer several years younger than him. After that day, I always called him " Ironman " :-)
