Roy gene hood passed away tragically on the morning of February 17th in his home. This was sudden and has devastated our family . He was married to my mother Debra hood for 38 years they were never apart. My father was an upstanding citizen amazing father and husband a great friend. Roy was a hard worker never complained and made sure his family was always taken care of. Roy loved hard his jokes were infectious even though he was corny at times he always put a smile on anyone’s face he came across. He loved fishing camping anything outdoors. He loved food and music. Roy knew GOD and would often preach to us the gospel. He could cook like no other and made a mean chicken and dumpling soup I will never forget. He worked his whole life as an hvac man and retired from that same profession. He loved his grandkids and mother in law deeply. We will miss his laughter his belly laughs his food his BIG stories but most of all the kindness her bestowed on us. He didn’t love us because he had to he loved us because he WANTED to!
