Roy's obituary

Roy Howard Haas, age 41, passed away on February 1, 2026. He was born on March 26, 1984, in New York City and was raised in Nashville, Tennessee, most recently residing in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Roy is survived by his devoted mother, Rosemarie Haas, and his beloved daughter, Emma Haas. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Haas. Roy lived for Emma, who was the joy and purpose of his life. A devoted and proud father, he cherished every moment spent with her and found his greatest happiness in being her dad.

Roy graduated in 2007 from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He spent his career in the healthcare industry, working as an Informatics Analyst and Senior Business Consultant.

An avid outdoorsman, Roy loved fishing, boating, and hunting and felt most at peace in nature. A natural risk-taker, he was drawn to adventure and new experiences, finding meaning and freedom in the world around him. He lived fully—with intensity, curiosity, and authenticity—and left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who loved him.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, followed by the memorial service at 1 p.m. in Baskin Chapel at Brentwood Baptist Church, 7777 Concord Road, Brentwood, TN 37027. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Blood Cancer United, (formerly the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society) in Roy’s honor at https://givenow.bloodcancerun…
