Kenny … you and your girls continue to be in our prayers.   Terry and Pam

From Chelsea & Megan,

Camp Kno-Koma will never be the same, but her memory will always live on in our hearts.

From Chelsea Rogers (Farley)

There is no way I could share only one memory with Rox.  Ever since I was 9 years old she has impacted my life.  She always has been one of my biggest inspirations in the healthcare world.  I will never ever forget her.  She will be greatly missed.

Rox - a blessing to all who met you! Many times they tell us that you choose sisters - you were like a sister , mentor, friend & support of others. You impacted so many lives. I was so blessed by you and your friendship. I will miss you.

From Steph Hall:

Rox always had the ability to make people be seen. She always saw the good in people. By far the best hugger.

From Beau Dittmar:

Rox & Ken came in to my life at an early age. I am so appreciative that I was able to connect with them later in life through Camp Kno-Koma. Rox, you will be missed by so many. Much love to the Porter family.

From Mary Jo:

Night shift ICU at Wheeling Hospital back when work was enjoyable.

Best time ever - bar hopping in downtown Pittsburgh with Rox & Mac.

From Paula Wood:

We would always hug people together and yell SISTER SANDWICH! My sister from another mister.

And then there is the day she taped fritos to her shoes!!

From Karen Watson Goff:

SO SO MANY! Loved working with Roxanne in the Emergency Department. No one was safe from our tactics, joking and kickbutt care!

From Debbie Cugini (Dunedin RV Resort):

I loved seeing Roxanne every year in Florida. Her smile lit up the room. She was always joyous. One of the kindest and most thoughtful people I was privileged to know.

From Deb Blum:

Always a kind smile, always a warm welcome.

From Adlei:

When I was 9 years old, Rocky & Pop took me on a road trip in their camper to Canada. It was days of pure fun, hanging out with 2 of my favorite people in the world. Staying in the camper with Rocky & Pop was always a thing to look forward to.

From Sullivan:

Sulli has always loved being in the hot tub with Rocky and Pop. You could see his face light up when he walked onto the back porch in his swim trunks, hand in hand with Rocky :)

From Mary Glenn:

Met Rocky for the first time at Ruby. Katie said she wanted to meet me because I helped cover rent at McClaine. LOL! She said, and I quote, "Why the hell would you do something like that?" and then she hugged me.

From Becca Warnick:

So many memories of 3AM checks, heart to heart talks & words of wisdom! She always made everyone she met smile. The world was better because she lived! Watching her try to reach the top bunk in the middle of the night always made me giggle. Love you Rox!

From Mike & Pat Best:

Remember 300 W. Brady Street? You and Roxanne moved into the apartment above ours. You would come in after working afternoon shift on Saturday night and laugh your butts off watching SNL. Your laughter made us laugh. It was a great time.

Remember traveling to Ohio to the Canfield Fair? It was Ken&Rox, Mark&Shirley, and Mike&Pat

From Jerry & Nancy:

She traveled the world, but when given an address in or around Dallas (WV) - a confused look always followed - then laughs! (and maybe a little bit pissed)

The only time I ever wanted to hit a woman was with Rox. We were at the MGM in Las Vegas dressed in our Jimmy Buffet concert outfits and some lady in a wedding dress started pointing and laughing and I looked at the lady and said, "bitch you are the one in Vegas in a wedding gown!"

From Kati (Katrina to Rocky) Porter:

Going to concerts with Rocky! Kerri, Roxanne, and I went to see the Wood Brothers in Pittsburgh - one of the best shows - but so many others too! and of course ALL of the love Rocky gave to Adlei and Sulli their whole lives.

We (Woosters) will miss Rox forever, we love you Kenny and will be praying for you and the girls as you grieve the loss of such a wonderful woman.

- Caryn, Dave, Nate, and Sabrina

From Sabrina:

Although my time with Rox was fairly short, she made an impact on me forever. I'll never forget our Florida trip. Kayaking, fishing, and the big Thanksgiving feast she made us. She is truly one of a kind and I think one of the funniest people I'll ever meet. Our while family will miss her so much. My love to Kenny and the rest of the family.

From Chuck Whiteman:

I remember Roxanne talking about nursing school, one of the nuns at the hospital sharpening and reusing needles. All back in the last century!

From a work friend:

Rox was my rock at all times. She came and bailed me out of jail, no questions asked. She left a friend's house, came and bailed me out, and never asked another word.

From David McCord:

Roxanne talked me into being a camp counselor at Camp Kno-Koma. On the way back to Wheeling she asked me to drive her and I back. We had an awesome drive back filled with life advice from her. I started to fall asleep while driving, but we made it back safely.

From Megan Berisford (aka the Other Porter Sister):

So many years at the Porter house. Rocky was another mother to me. Always welcoming you in and feeding you. Many camping trips adventures and good stories always. Thank you for bringing me my best friend.
