Rosita was my favorite aunt and one of the most amazing people I’ve ever known. Her generosity, warmth, and sparkling humor were unusual qualities that set her apart. She also had an astounding work ethic, was incredibly responsible, and was a person of deep and abiding faith. I have great childhood memories of spending time with my Uncle Mike and Aunt Rosita at the lake house of my grandparents in Connecticut and of eating wonderful home cooked meals at their apartment in Queens. What a talented chef! I feel so happy and grateful that you were a part of my life and I think anyone who had a chance to know you was extremely lucky.

Rosita was one of the kindness and sweetest person I have ever met. She was loved by all and always gave an example of what a good Christian should be like. I will miss her greatly. May God give strength to Michael and Adam amd her family at this difficult time. She will never be forgotten. I have the hope to see her again in the second coming of Jesus Christ. The bible says: "Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." John 11:25-26.

My beautiful friend, Rosita, the first thing I think of when you come to mind is how you had the biggest heart in the world. You gave so much to everyone around you often leaving nothing for yourself. I’m having the hardest time wrapping my mind around the fact that you’re gone and how very quickly you were taken. I’m grateful to have so many wonderful memories of you and I knew how you loved me despite all our differences and all my very real faults. It’s funny how this picture shows me, well, being me, and you in a turtleneck being you, and Kate being somewhere in between. I think it’s a pretty accurate portrayal and one that can make me smile despite the heart ache.

I hope you’re with those loved ones who have gone before you and are finally getting the peace you deserve. I will never forget you, how could I?

It’s such a regret that we lost you during this awful time, the one year we couldn’t get together because of this terrible virus that’s plaguing the world. I thought about you on New Years Eve, when we normally would have been together, eating delicious food, drinking champagne, attempting to stay awake till midnight and often failing. I remember the year the kids were young and Adam fell asleep under the coffee table.

You were a bright shining light that showered us with your goodness even when we didn’t quite deserve it.

Rest well, my friend. Love is eternal and you were loved by many but especially by me.

Working with Rosita for the past 7 years was the best. She always had answers, a 'can do' attitude, a smile and a kind word. Rosita cared deeply about family. When I mentioned some travel, she would say, "Oh, I have a brother there. He is a university professor." We share cooking ideas and many other pleasures. She was always on top of the work that had to be done, and still had time to solve a problem or laugh at a joke. I miss her as i know do all her family.
