We are so sorry to hear the loss of Rosemary. She was always so nice to talk to & she told me I "Verla" was always the 1st one she got her Christmas card from. My husband John worked for Vance at the WWTP in Newport so we've know them both for several years. RIP Rosemary you will be missed.
Condolences to her family 🩷

Mrs. Avery was a lovely neighbor. We bonded over roses and she even bought a couple for me to plant in my yard. Every summer she would give me a tour of her backyard, which I have always loved. My cats loved being at her house as she fed them fresh chicken daily, which I couldn't compete with! They basked in the sun on her back deck and even on occasion I witnessed them napping on her couch! She was very nice to my son who always had some sort of ball in her backyard. She always welcomed him to come in and retrieve what was back there. She will be missed in the neighborhood

I first met Rosemary when she came into my Aerobics classes. She was funny and smart and would sometimes say the most outrageous things that made everyone laugh. Her favorite song was Staying Alive by the Bee Gees and she would pester me over and over to use it each term. She would stand in the back of the room and do her impersonation of John Travolta while I was playing it.
She was very proud of her son Mitchell and would always comment on how intelligent and brilliant he was, saying he got his smarts from his father Vance. She was happy and pleased-- when he married Margaret and would often mention her fulfilling career in medicine.
When we had lunch together, she would make her entrance dressed like some famous Movie Star, complete with the latest designer Sun Glasses.
She was a kind sweet Soul and was my friend for over 30 years. She always made me smile and laugh and if she was your friend, you knew it was for life. I will miss her greatly!!

I am sorry to the family of Rosemary Avery, for your loss. She was quite a lady !
I am also sorry that she won't be in my life anymore.
She was such a character. I first met Rosemary when she attended Jeany Volk's senior exercise classes a long, long time ago. Rosemary would inevitably say something in the middle of a strenuous exercise where concentration was much needed and have whom ever was in ear shot laughing so hard it was impossible to continue the particular exercise. Then Jeany being the sweetheart she is, was very patient, but usually added a bit of extra exercise to make up for us all laying on the floor laughing until we were able to continue . Of course we would complain amongst ourselves and laugh some more.
I really miss those happy, silly days.
Rosemary had a heart of gold and was always cheerful and happy. A group of us would meet up for lunch often, after an exercise class and Rosemary always arrived looking like she had stepped out of a magazine. She had style, that's for sure.
There'll never be another Rosemary. She is now and will always be thought of and missed.
