Rosemarie's obituary
The eldest of seven children, she is survived by Linda Moreno (Mike), Cynthia (Neman) Moreira, Lorraine Rodrigues (Chris Meyers), Larry Rodrigues (Rebecca) and Sister-in-law Denise Rodrigues. She was preceded in passing by her sister Darlene Miller and brother Richard Rodrigues.
As a young woman growing up in Kalihi Valley and attending Farrington High School she was a decorated Hawai'i State finalist for multiple track and field events. While raising her 'ohana in Ewa Beach, she also became a State Championship Bowler and an avid volunteer in the Ewa Community. She dedicated much of her time to raising her four keiki of whom she is survived by: Anna Marie Tialino (Fa'a), Vernon Ferreira (Katy), Daniel Ferreira (Rick) and Tanya Mailelani Naehu (Hanohano).
As a grandmother of seven, she enjoyed her time with her grandchildren through singing and playing Hawaiian music, gardening, knitting, crocheting, baking, sewing and painting with them. Her legacy of love lives on through them: Vavega, Reanna, Amber, Christopher, Kahale, Kapili and 'Ilikea. For those who knew our mother, she was often described as a fiery wahine who was full of spunk, good fun and could cook the best Puerto Rican food. We have certainly been blessed with her talents and love. Her legacy will certainly prevail through us...
She certainly loved angels and I believe she is one that was here on earth to bless us and now has joined others in the Eternities.
Mahalo e Mama, Na Ke Akua e malama mau.
Thank you Mommy, You are Eternally in God's care. God Be with You Till We Meet Again.....
Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my Heavenly Father.” -Matthew 18:10
Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection— Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life. And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow. - Alma 40:11-12
