Rose's obituary
Rose Vrooman, 85, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away on October 28, 2022 after dying from natural causes.
Rose was born on October 2, 1937 to Carl and Rose Siegl in Rochester, NY. After graduating from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1954, she met Richard Vrooman, and they wed shortly after, going on to have 1 child, Linda (Vrooman) Corey.
When Rose had Linda, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. In 1974, Richard and Rose Vrooman, founded the Gold Coast Thunderbird Club in Fort Lauderdale, FL; with over 200 members who all shared a passion for the beautiful Ford Thunderbird, including Jim & Helen Zeak, Doug & Claudette Ferone, Rich & Bernice Wallace, and Arlene Staresina. In 1986, Rose and Richard took over ownership of Torok Rubber Stamps, converting the business into R&R Specialties, a rubber stamp business, in Oakland Park, FL. Following the sudden death of her beloved husband, and father of Linda, in 1987, Rose continued to run the family business with her daughter for over 25 years. She made it her mission to be generous to others, including supporting many pet organizations, Wounded Warrior Project, and Paralyzed Veterans of America. One of Rose's greatest passions in life was bringing friends and family together for the holidays. Over the years, Rose had numerous loyal and faithful furry companions with her final dog being Ginger "Gigi." We will miss her greatly.
Rose was predeceased by her husband, Richard "Dick" Vrooman, in 1987. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Corey, three grandchildren, Sheri-Lynn Corey-Forte, Thomas Corey, Julianne Corey, and six great-grandchildren, Emilia, Adaline, Elena, River, Lakelyn, and Emery.
