Sandra, Linda, Steve,
I recently heard, and I am sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories of Rose and Phil as we met in the early 60's (I think 1964) after moving to California. Phil and my Dad met at the post office, as Phil was on leave from machinist work at the time. Dad liked him because he was Italian, and from New York. We had a lot of discussions about Aerojet and Rockwell in the '70s.
We spent lots of holidays with your family, a remember a winter trip to Big Bear. Rose and Phil were the only friends/family to witness my eagle scout award, in 1968. I remember several BBQ's on new years eve, having grilled Italian sausages. We of course did the Christmas Eve thing.
Rose and my mom were friends for so many years, and I usually got a report from her in recent times. Seems like Christmas event a few years ago was the last visit I recall. Even though the visits became less, we often asked about your family. Rose will be fondly remembered by me, as she was always so kind and gentle; and proud of her children. We are fortunate to have been raised by such loving parents and I hope you occasionally stay in contact with me.
[Mom couldn't find your contact information, so I'm using this web site she sent to me.]

My memories of Rose are from her days in Rochester NY. She was a sweet, kind and caring person, and always called me honey. Her late husband Phil was actually my father’s nephew, but were closer in age and Phil was best man in my parents wedding, and later my Godfather. We visited their home in Rochester often, I got to babysit Steve, Sandy & Linda, and also got to know Rose’s wonderful parents and sisters and brother. I always felt that Rose’s name fit her well as she was a beautiful person inside and out. It was a sad day when Rose and Phil and their sweet family moved to CA. With much love, Cookie
