I was so shocked about Rose’s passing. I just got a call from MSK advising me that Rose will not be treating me for my upcoming appointment in March.

I then went online and saw this obit. I’ve been seeing Rose for over 25 years and remember her the day she started working at MSK. I was a patient of Dr. Richard Barakat in 1998 who I believe Rose worked with.

Rose always put me at ease and made me feel safe, with a smile on her face and a calming presence. I was so hesitant to go into the survivorship program because I had stage 3 ovarian cancer but I knew I was in good hands with Rose, and thus our journey of 25 years began.

What a tremendous loss this is for her family, friends and colleagues and of course patients like myself.

Rebecca Murry

Rose was a wonderful and caring RN. I had my surgery for uterine cancer and Rose became my cancer survivor nurse whom I saw every 3 months. She was the most thoughtful person duting those periods of care. It has been 7 years now of seeing Rose and I had no idea she was suffering from cancer. I will miss her terribly.
