I love reading others’ posts and seeing photos. I have struggled to think of what to write. I never imagined this. Today, someone on a TV program who lost his mother two weeks before said her presence was fading into memories. I guess that’s true. I’ve been thinking of memories of Roz everyday, but after hearing that today I decided to reinforce memories of years ago by going down memory lane via old photo albums. Those memories and many, many others keep her alive in my heart. I think Roz left a lot of wonderful memories to many people all over the place. That’s a pretty great legacy. Another great legacy is the wonderful son she raised in Charlie and his two beautiful daughters.❤️
I worked with Roz for many years until she retired. She was so professional in her job and enjoyed her friendships with other Tax Auditors. Most of our conversations began and ended with her speaking of her love for her family. And playing dominos. And her VW car with flowers on it. So much fun and nothing but the best memories of this wonderful lady!
I worked with Roz as a Tax Auditor with ESC. We shared many fun times at conventions and trips. I always admired Roz for her zest for life and adventure. One particular memory is when Roz told me she flew in a small plane with friends to Belize! This was before it became a popular vacation destination. I will never hear a reference to Belize without thinking of Roz. She was a special person and will be missed. My condolences to the family.
Roz was the first of many friends I met and made at St. Peter's after we moved to Cape Carteret from Durham in 2015. We were doing yard work at church with some young boys - I noticed her chatting away with them and asked her if they were her sons. She laughed uproariously and said no way, she had one son named Charlie who was grown and living in California. She immediately befriended me and made a point of inviting me on outings so I wouldn't feel so alone in my new church and community. I miss her.
