We sadly announce the passing of Rosaleigh Cruz, who was born on October 21, 1951 and passed away on February 14, 2025. Rosaleigh was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community. She had a profound impact on the lives of many, and her loss will leave an undeniable void.
Rosaleigh is survived by her husband, Francisco Cruz, her sons Hector and Fernando Cruz, her daughter Tatiana Cruz, her grandchildren Tayvon Boyd, Sonia Cruz, and Gianna Ramirez. Her legacy as a caring, protective, and stern matriarch, with a witty sense of humor, will live on in each of them.
An esteemed attendee of North Buffalo Community Church, Rosaleigh's faith played a significant role in her life. She exemplified kindness and believed that what goes around comes around. Her strongest accomplishment, as she often expressed, was creating a large and loving family. This love is her enduring legacy.
Rosaleigh had a deep love for her Puerto Rican roots, enjoying traditional dishes like Perníl and arroz con grandules. She also took great pleasure in watching TV shows like General Hospital and All My Children. She found the utmost joy when spending time with her family, who were her favorite companions.
A funeral service for Rosaleigh will be held at 3:00 PM, and burial will follow at 5:00 PM, both on February 22nd, 2025. The funeral service will take place at North Buffalo Community Church, SBC, and she will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn. All who knew and loved Rosaleigh are invited to attend and pay their respects.
Rosaleigh Cruz was a genuine soul whose impact on her family and the community will not be forgotten. She touched many lives with her kindness, humor, and wisdom. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
