Ronnie was apart of my life for as long as I can remember, we used to call him Mr. Blessing because he truly was a blessing to everyone. Everyone that crossed Ron's path knew that he cared about them and loved them. Truly such a gem of a person. There's so many memories I could write here, all of them I hold near and dear to my heart. Life isn't the same without Ron, and who he was is something I will always remember. The Lord was so good to bring him into our lives. I think of him often. Love you Mr Blessing, I know you're up there singing with the angels and I can't wait for the day we can join you <3

When Jim accepted the position of senior pastor at GE BC Ron and Drena were the first to have us over to their house for dinner. About 18 months after that we became neighbors for over 20 years. We shared so much of our lives together. We went on vacations together, had barbecues in our backyard together, loved each of our children together,, and built so many memories together. About a year before Ron went home to be with the Lord he started going fishing with Jim. I don’t think he ever dropped a line in the water but he was there to keep Jim company, make sure he was fed, and scout out the river! We dreamed a lot of dreams together and shared a lot of hopes with each other. During COVID Ron and I became walking partners as Jim and Drena did not like to walk for exercise. About every time we took a walk together we talked about heaven and how excited we were to get there. And now he’s there! We would  talk about how great it would be just to be with the Lord and then to all be together someday as a family for  eternity. Can’t wait for that day to happen.

Ron Scott went out of his way for people. We sometimes read of Jesus doing that. What I’m referring to is deliberately taking a detour from everything else to spend time with people.

Ron and I were part of the same church, but we rarely crossed paths there. Neither of us had any obligation to spend time together, but I always looked forward to seeing him again.

Ron would visit my wife and children while I was at work or track me down around the city. There was always a joke he would tell. Ron, would take time for people including me.

Because his hope was in the finished work of Jesus I know with certainty that his salvation is secure. I praise God for his life and legacy of loving and living for Jesus day by day.

"Uncle Ron"  (as we all called him) was so very dear to us. He treated me like a daughter and he loved my kids like they were his grandkids. His heart was so full of love for Jesus and for people. He always had a cough drop in his pocket for me at rehearsal, followed by a new story that would make me laugh. He had the biggest, most giving heart of anyone I have ever met. He lived to give back......he loved blessing others. We all miss him so much, but know we will hug him and sing with him again some day.

 Love you Uncle Ron ❤

Ron Scott-  So much kindness and genuine goodness came  right along side Ron every where he went.

He always had a cough drop for me at rehearsal.

One of the most welcoming people we came across when we lived in the Graham area.

My favorite memory of Ron is him with a microphone 🎤in his hand and sing his heart out to the song (I can only imagine).

Well done brother on your way through this life.

Ron was one of my best friends and a constant source of encouragement and blessing to not only me but to our whole family. He and Drena have treated us like family since the first day we met them. Since Ron's graduation to heaven, I have come to find out that he was that to many people and he had a special way of connecting with people so that they would feel included. That is a rare quality and one of the things I have missed most about Ron since he went home to be with Jesus. I also miss praying with Ron, as he was dedicated member of my prayer team. He was so genuine with the Lord and always told Him that we looked forward to being with Him, face to face. I also missing singing with Ron songs of worship. Ron always sang from his heart and it was always such a joy to make music with Ron. I'm sure he's sharing some of his original songs with the Lord right now!

Psalm 112:6 says "...a righteous man will be remembered forever" I would say that about Ron. He will always be "Mr. Blessing" to me and our family. His generosity was boundless and his encouragement was never-ending - things that I deeply miss about his regular presence in my life. He and Drena have always treated our girls as grandkids and loved them like it too. We all really miss him and mention him often in our home!

We Love you Ron, (even more...), miss you, and can't wait to see you again in the presence of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ! ~ Your pal in Jesus
